Wales always provides excellent scenery and entertainment whether a walker, biker or 4x4 enthusiast.

Our Wales Laning Days are designed to take a family orientated group on a gentle excursion that could be tackled in your average road going 4x4. To add to the social element of the event we meet on the Saturday night with a sit down formal meal at the Metropole Hotel. This gives everyone the opportunity get to know new people and catch up with old alike.

Sunday brings a full days off roading with interlocking tarmac sections. This year we had several nice deluges of rain which added to the experience and certainly made some of the river crossings memorable! We also had a lovely cold snap the day prior and morning of the event which meant that some of the higher lanes we transited had a nice gentle covering of snow. Not enough to give any traction issues but enough to see the landscape in a new beauty.

We covered a total of 103miles on the Sunday from a 0930hrs start to 1803hrs finish so it was certainly a long day. We are considering some options for future trips of maybe an extra nights stay on the Friday with Laning the Saturday followed by the meal.
