4x4 Adventures Ltd Taunton, Somerset
Aimed at novice and 4x4 owners with some experience in using their vehicles off road, roughly once a month we are running an Off Road Driving and Social Morning at David Bowyer's Off-Road Centre. Run by David and James, they are a great opportunity to explore your vehicles capabilities with help and advice on hand with a bunch of like-minded people. In addition it gives attendees a good insight on going Green Laning and for those contemplating attending a training course, a chance to look over the Centre and discuss requirements. Grean laning is a passion of David's, he has been researching and driving green lanes for over thirty years throughout the whole of Wales, Cumbria, Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire and Northumberland.

We meet at The Waie Inn in the centre of Zeal Monachorum at 09:00 for coffee, ready for a 9:30 briefing. We return to the same pub for lunch at 12:30ish. You can pre-book your food in the morning to ease the wait later. Following the briefing, we convoy over the hill and down to Davidís Off Road Centre, approximately 1 mile away. At the centre, David will lead you around the main training course route in both directions, then some of the more difficult sections, which, if it doesnít go to plan may involve some winching; where David will be happy to assist! Plenty of opportunities for you to put your off road driving skills into practice and to talk through off roading, vehicle modifications, map and greenlaning along with many other topics.

The event is competively priced at just £40 for 2 people in one vehicle. Meals etc are not included. We run 6-9 vehicles in the group and all the off roading takes place on private land. To get a flavour of the terrain you will encounter please take a look at the following pictures. To see what previous attendees think of this and other events please visit the comments page.
